Characteristics
Oleander (Nerium oleander) is a Mediterranean evergreen shrub, one of the most widely grown, with leathery leaves and abundant summer flowers in white, pink, red or yellow. It is very tolerant of heat, drought and salt, perfect for coastal gardens and roadsides. It wants full sun and well-drained soil. Caution: all parts are highly toxic. It reaches 2-4 metres.

Practical tips
Water needs: bassa — always check soil moisture before watering.
Prefers pieno sole: provide the right light and rotate the plant for even growth.
Recommended soil: drenante calcareo. Refresh the substrate every 1-2 years.
Dust the leaves with a damp cloth to support photosynthesis.
Feed during the growing season (spring-summer) and stop in winter.
